Pre-owned goods retail franchise Cash Converters has been chosen by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) to be its title sponsor of its inaugural World Cup of Darts.
The Cash Converters World Cup of Darts will be held at the Rainton Meadows Arena in Houghton-Le-Spring, Tyne & Wear from December 3-5 and screened live on Sky Sports HD.
Barry Hearn, Chairman of PDC, said: “It gives us great pleasure to welcome Cash Converters as the title sponsor for The World Cup of Darts. This tournament promises to be a festival of darts as players from around the darting world come together to compete over three days.
“It will be a wonderful showcase for emerging darting talent from around the world, with countries such as Russia, Japan, Spain and New Zealand challenging some of the most established players in darts, like Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld and John Part.”
Cash Converters’ sponsorship of the tournament comes as the company fast approaches 600 stores worldwide, with over 170 of these in the UK.
