Retail franchise Cash Generator posted an operating profit of £22.6 million for the year to 31st January, representing a 9.4 per cent rise. The company turned over £50 million in the same period.
'Cash Generator performs well in all economic climates, however the current financial difficulties have altered shopping habits considerably, with the focus firmly on the consumer demanding value for money goods,' said Managing Director Julian Urry.
The franchise, which has 85 stores operating in the UK, has revealed plans to expand by a further 20 units this year as well as entering European markets. The company is also investing £200,000 in IT to enable consumers to shop online.
