Estate agency, Century21, has recently signed a franchise deal that will see it expand into Gibraltar.
The company has partnered with Home Coast Ltd (HCL), which is a Gibraltar-based company that specialises in property sales and rentals, property management, commercial sales, acquisitions and new developments. The partnership will see Century21 open an office on Main Street, Gibraltar’s main commercial area.
Gibraltar has been a British Colony since the 18th century and is a highly sought after location on the southern tip of Europe that has a border with Spain. Due to its tax advantages it is also attractive to wealthy individuals and corporate entities.
Lesley Sharkey, Operations Director at Century21, said: “This is a very exciting time for both Century21UK and Home Coast Limited, launching the Century21 brand into an overseas British territory and continuing to enhance our global presence with an established and highly respected local agent with access to our UK and global network of offices.”
Douglas Villalta, Managing Director of HCL, added: “As a result of the recent corporate restructure, we acquired the shares of the Spanish Rosso Group and did not hesitate to opt for the Century21 brand, in view of its vast global presence and experience.

“Gibraltar, as part of the UK, is inside the European Union for regulatory purposes, which gives it an advantage in the eyes of many fund managers and other financial institutions over Monaco, the Channel Island and Switzerland.
