Finesse Chem-Dry, a UK-based franchise of a US domestic and commercial carpet and upholstery cleaning company, has beaten international competition to win a top award. Peter Foster, owner of Finesse Chem-Dry, received the Chem-Dry International Sub Franchise of the Year 2009 Award at the Chem-Dry International Convention in Hawaii, USA. This achievement follows Peter's success of being crowned UK Chem-Dry Franchise of the Year in June 2008.
Peter, who runs Finesse Chem-Dry with his wife Lisa, first got involved in the family business in 1998 to try and turn it into a full time franchise operation. The business has since grown to a £650,000 turnover and has recently moved to a new 8,500 sq foot industrial unit based in Bury and services 12 areas throughout Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Yorkshire.
On receiving the award Peter said: 'This is a very proud moment for Lisa, me and the Finesse team; to say the last 12 months have been fantastic is an understatement. I regard being nominated as an achievement, but to win this award is overwhelming and very humbling. The UK Chem-Dry franchise network is blessed with a knowledge sharing culture and we are very lucky to have some dear friends within Chem-Dry, who we can approach when advice is needed. When I look back at the past 10 years, at times it hasn't been easy, but recognition like this makes it all worthwhile.'
