Chemex, which supplies cleaning, hygiene and infection control products, has recently opened its first franchise in central London.

Michael Graham, Managing Director of Chemex, said: “The franchise has only been running a few months but it is already producing sales of £11,000 a month by supplying cleaning and hygiene products to hotels, restaurants and pubs.

“This is the first time in our 27 year history that the company has ventured into the centre of London and we have been overwhelmed by the reaction of customers. There is a tremendous demand for our products and our service.

“Now we urgently require new franchise owners to help us meet the demand. Over the coming months we can see the need to open four new franchise areas in this zone to help supply the pent up demand that is clearly there.

“We have opened nine new franchise areas in other parts of the country in the first half of 2012 which demonstrates the attraction of supplying must need products in an economic downturn.

“This is helped by the wealth of legislation and compliance that every business has in keeping premises clean, safe and fit for purpose.

“There is no doubt that there is a strong repeat order business with great margins in London – we just need the people to help top its potential.”

Paul Fordham, franchise owner of Chemex central London, said: “Business has been fantastic. The biggest problem I have got is making sure there is enough time in the day to get the deliveries done.

“Our offer is a compelling one, we supply customers with all their product needs as and when they want it. We provide a comprehensive service, checking stock in, controlling the amount spent and saving the customer money – they love it.”
