Chemex has revealed that a major overhaul of its business is paying dividends; with a string of national account wins providing a major boost for franchise owner growth. The company's new strategy has been to develop a highly effective national account marketing drive operated at director level, which has resulted in major account wins across a range of sectors including healthcare, leisure, hospitality and catering, for the company's range of high quality cleaning and hygiene products.
'Chemex has enjoyed great success in the last 20 years and the measures that we have put in place will ensure that we continue to build on that success,' said Director Sean Derrig. 'Our proposition of first class products combined with excellence of service is winning valuable contracts and delivering an additional income stream for our franchise owners.
'Franchise owner recruitment is also buoyant with record numbers of prospective franchises contacting us. People have been quick to recognise that in a volatile economy a Chemex franchise offers tremendous stability with our business opportunity being virtually recession proof. The simple fact is that our sales continue to be strong because we sell necessities not luxuries.'Sales Director Ron Hutton said there was a strong demand for Chemex franchises but candidates had to have the right qualities: 'We are very selective - we only want those people who are or aspire to be, business builders. We are not interested in job seekers. We are strong believers in comprehensive and continuous training equipping our franchise owners with the skills required to provide a first class service and a profitable business.
'This approach has created a healthy demand for our franchises because prospective franchise owners realise they have a real opportunity to build a successful and rewarding business by being part of a company that is dedicated towards success.'
Managing Director Melvin Lusty added: 'Chemex now has a highly skilled and talented management team who are committed to driving the business forward. Our product range and service is second to none and we have a solid base of business orientated franchise owners, who are working hard while enjoying the fruits of the company's success.'
Chemex is also expanding its overseas network following a surge in demand for its cleaning and hygiene products. The company is opening up distribution operations in the Middle East, Asia and Western Europe.
