Cleaning and hygiene specialist franchise Chemex has revealed the success behind its franchise owner recruitment strategy that has seen it report a flood of enquiries and three new franchise owners launching in June. The company has focused its search on what it calls 'super franchise owners, i.e. individuals who are capable of growing substantial businesses.

"Our strategy is to recruit franchise owners who want to grow substantial and profitable businesses - we are not interested in those candidates who are just looking for a steady job," said Chemex Sales Director Ron Hutton. "The response to our campaign has been tremendous and we are now seeing the first of a number of highly impressive people launching franchises that they intend to fast track, with our support, into significant businesses.

"In spite of the economic downturn there are plenty of good people out there who are willing to invest in their future and they are recognising that Chemex is as virtually recession proof as you can get because we sell necessities to businesses not luxuries."

The newest franchise owners to join the Chemex network (pictured) are John Bennett (Nottingham South), Mike Sansum (Somerset) and Steve Smith (North Leicestershire). The company reports that several more franchise launches are 'in the pipeline'.
