Leading cleaning and hygiene supplies franchisor Chemex is planning for ambitious growth with the appointment of a new National Franchise Sales Manager.

The West Bromwich company has appointed Michael Wilson (pictured), an industry expert with more than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, to a ?franchise role.

Wilson has been tasked with the job of growing the 55 strong franchise network over the coming year through recruitment of franchise owners and organic growth of the existing business. Having grown a previous franchise from 300 to 900 franchise owners, Wilson is confident that he will be able to deliver similar results at Chemex.

“Chemex has an incredibly strong model providing a ?van-based franchise with a high quality training and support package, reinforced by a focused new business drive,” ?he said.

“The franchise is suitable for people from all walks of life who have a commitment to succeed and to create a business, which can deliver significant financial rewards alongside a flexible lifestyle business.

“I’m looking forward to taking the message out around the country through a series of road shows and growing the existing business through signing up more multi-franchise owners. It’s an exciting time to be joining the company and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Wilson has worked with some high profile names including Rank Xerox, Perrier Buxton and Homeserve, in addition to his most recent role in franchising at Chem-Dry, where he played a key role in the 200 per cent growth in franchises.

Chemex Managing Director Michael Graham said Wilson’s recruitment came at a key time for the company, which has ambitious targets for 2011.

“We are incredibly confident in both the quality of the product and of the franchise offer and, with the recruitment of an experienced professional like Michael, it is the right time to drive the business forward,” he said. “I am delighted he is joining the business and am looking forward to working with him to take the ?business forward.”
