Automotive paintwork repair franchise ChipsAway has shot its first ever television advert, which will be screened on national TV later this year. The advert, which represents a major investment by ChipsAway in supporting its franchise owners, aims to raise brand awareness and generate new business.

"We have already seen new business leads for the first five months of 2009 up 68 per cent on the same period last year, and want to continue pushing the ChipsAway brand to as wide an audience as possible," said Chief Executive Lloyd Evans. "We are confident that our powerful new television advert will generate substantially increased levels of new business for our UK network of franchise owners."

ChipsAway franchise owners provide a SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) repair service from professionally liveried vehicles, customised as fully equipped mobile workshops. This allows them to repair minor dents, paintwork scratches and bumper scuffs to car paintwork on a 'same day' basis, in a location most convenient to their customer and at a fraction of the cost of traditional bodyshop repair methods.

ChipsAway has around 350 franchise owners operating nationwide and a network of master franchisors overseas. The company operates a 24/7 UK Call Centre and last year launched its national advertising campaign.
