The new franchise owner of Cloudy2Clear Windows Essex and East London, which provides a double-glazing replacement service, has got his business off to a great start.

Chris Miller, who owns the Cloudy2Clear Windows Essex and East London franchise, said: “I really couldn’t be any happier with the start we’ve made. Running up to my initial training I consulted heavily with Cloudy2Clear. I decided from the outset that I was going to put my absolute trust in them and do exactly what they said. After all, if I was handing over £20,000 for a system that works it seemed a little daft to try and change it in any way. I let them decide my marketing strategy and simply stuck to the budgets I was given and it’s really paid off. If the current level of business is anything to go by I’ll need to be looking to take staff on by next spring to cope with demand and the best bit is that I know we can pretty much generate as many enquiries as we want.”

Though, for Miller, sales aren’t everything as he added: “One of the reasons that I went with Cloudy2Clear is that they are extremely profit-focussed for their franchise owners. The accounting system they provide is world-class and the operations team have made sure that I’ve kept on top of that so we can all see what’s going on at all times. It’s easy to get carried away when you’re selling loads but the real nitty gritty of business is that you make a profit. Everything here is geared towards that so that together we can make the right decisions at the right times. The whole setup is very impressive and I’m living proof that if you pick the right franchise you can more than make a go of it, even in this financial climate.”

Martin Waite, Marketing Director of Cloudy2Clear, is keen to stress that it is Miller’s willingness to follow the advice given that has seen his business take off. He said: “We have a mantra here which is follow the system, follow the system, follow the system. During the interview process Chris absolutely convinced us that he would do so and already he’s reaping the rewards within six weeks of opening.

“We’re thrilled that we are now able to service customers in Essex and East London as this was an area we have identified for some time as one which was just out of reach of our existing network but they kept calling us and we were letting people down so to have Chris on board is fantastic for him and also for the brand. The concept of franchising is simple, take a successful business model and apply it to your own area for the benefit of all. Chris is doing that and he will receive the personal rewards for his belief in us and what we do. It’s a win-win of the highest order.”
