British coffee and deli bar operator Coffee Republic has signed its first international Master Franchise agreement with Property Link International, which grants its partner the rights to develop a chain and sub-franchise in Bulgaria. The company reports that its first Bulgarian outlet is under development and due to open in a shopping & entertainment centre in the Black Sea resort Sunny Beach in mid-2007.

The company aims to open up to 10 Bulgarian locations over the next four years, with possible future locations identified as Varna and Sofia.
