Convenience store chain 7-Eleven is planning to convert about 100 of its company-operated Florida outlets into franchises. Based in the US city Dallas the company has already converted two of its Florida stores into franchises. This programme is part of 7-Eleven's strategy to move more decision-making to its stores.
'Franchisees truly have a vested interest in knowing their customers and communities,' says Sid Brockman, Vice President 7-Eleven Florida. 'We believe they are in the best position to understand and respond to their local retail needs, which, in turn, builds customer loyalty and sales.'
