Australian fresh baked cookie product retailer Cookie Man is preparing for further expansion in India through its Joint Venture Master Franchisee Australian Foods India. The company plans to open 14 new stores, plus 40 express counters, over the next 12 months.

"In Ahmedabad, Cookie Man outlet is expected to open in September at Himalaya Arcade in Gurukul area in 400 square feet area," says Australian Foods India. President Pattabhi Rama Rao. "We are in close talks with various mall owners in Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot for setting up mother stores and Expresses but it is yet to be finalised. Malls have contributed greatly in our growth. The system wide brand sale of Cookie Man has stood at an estimated Rs 25 crore in 2005-06."
