Having signed a series of multi-franchise agreements in the US last year, Corner Bakery Café is set to continue its success throughout 2012.
As well as signing the new franchise deals, the café franchise has also introduced new items to its menu. Mike Hislop, CEO of Corner Bakery Café, said: “It's already starting out to be a big year for the brand, and there’s more big news to come. Based on multi-unit franchise agreements in the works and new company-owned cafes slated to open, Corner Bakery Café is on track to more than double our system within the next three and a half years. As consumers continue to embrace our ingredient-inspired, made-to-order food and neighbourhood setting, we will continue to capture market share by gaining presence on corners in big cities and suburban communities around the country.”
This year Corner Bakery Café is planning to double its number of cafes operating in the US to 148, of which 39 will be franchised and the rest company-owned.
Founded in downtown Chicago, Corner Bakery Café menu offers a range of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and Grandma-inspired sweets and baked goods.
