The simple business model, which provides massive savings for customers on international telephone calls, has captured the imagination of entrepreneurial individuals across the Republic of Ireland. Managing Director Pat Phelan believes the concept will be equally successful in the UK.
'The franchise package is in essence a series of price bands which allow the franchisee's customers to call any number in the world for a fraction of the price charged by the main providers. Our software tracks the usage of these individual numbers and rebates an amount on each call, which is passed on to the franchisee.
'The customer is charged in the normal way through their phone bill, so there are no bills to chase. The franchisee simply invoices Cubic Telecom for the total at the end of the month.'
The business can be run either part-time or full-time and franchisees showing potential can expand to any of 30 other countries around the world with more being added all the time. Pat adds: 'We can supply access numbers from over 30 countries in addition to the UK and Ireland, so franchisees could have a truly international business.'
As the UK franchise expansion programme gathers momentum, Cubic Telecom will next be turning its sights on the massive US market.
