Caremark Redcar and Cleveland is the most recent Caremark office to have one of its care and support workers win the Care Worker of the Month Award.

Charles Folkes, Managing Director of the office nominated Katie Hobson for the award, for consistently adhering to the Caremark system, having a flexible approach to her work and helping out where emergency cover is needed even on her day off. The nomination went before a critical panel of judges at Caremark head office before a decision was made out of the numerous nominations to award Hobson for her achievement. Hobson was presented with the award by Folkes together with her certificate and a gift voucher for Marks and Spencer, Hobson said: “I was delighted to receive this award for recognition of my work. It makes me feel valued in my role.”

It was Caremark’s supportive approach to its Care Workers that Hobson chose to work for the company. Hobson has worked for Caremark since November 2010, and in that time has never had a day off sick and never refused to take on a new customer. It has always been her ambition to be promoted to Field Care Supervisor managing her own team of Care and Support Workers, which she was promoted to last week. Hobson puts her success down to being a good listener and putting people first at the centre of their support.
