In his first year trading as a Driver Hire franchise owner, Gee Bains achieved annual sales of over £800,000, the company reports.

Bains (pictured), who owns the South East London franchise territory, opened his Driver Hire business in May 2010. During his first year of trading he has not only achieved great sales results, but has also won the Driver Hire New Start of the Year award.

Prior to becoming a Driver Hire franchise owner Bains worked in IT for a leading City law firm, he said: “I’d spent some time considering several options when a good friend of mine, Manjit Singh, who runs Driver Hire Enfield, recommended the business to me. He explained how valuable being part of a strong franchise had been to him, especially through the recession.

“It’s actually quite a simple business. Recruitment is just bringing people together and we now also have a thriving additional revenue stream in driver training.

“I love that every day in my business is different. I get a real buzz from helping my customers and the rewards are excellent too. If you are organised, have great people skills and the determination to build your own successful business, you should take a closer look at Driver Hire.”
