Driver Hire has made changes to its head office and regional management roles, the company has announced.

David de Lacy-Jones has been named as the company’s new Regional Manager. Lacy-Jones, who has 20 years’ experience in recruitment for the transport and logistics industry, said: “While principally a franchise business, Driver Hire is expanding its managed network too. Initially we’re concentrating on opening offices in the M1 corridor, which aren’t currently covered by our network. Long-term, once these offices are successfully established, we’ll be looking where appropriate, to sell the franchise, or enter a joint venture partnership with the incumbent management team.”

In another new appointment, Michael Wakeham has been named as the Area Development Manager of the Driver Hire Midland offices. Before joining Driver Hire, Wakeham had his own recruitment company, supplying accountancy staff to business and industry.

Additionally, the South West region has also had a new Area Development Manager, Andy Wales. A former professional golfer, Wales has worked in transport and logistics recruitment for the past decade.
