Almost a year on since launching his Auditel franchise, Leigh Francis is looking to grow his cost and purchase management business.
Based in Llanelli, Francis joined the Auditel franchise network in January 2012. He said: “During my 25 years of being Managing Director of a family-owned business, I was involved in financial management. I was very aware of the need to control business costs and I was looking for a way to market my services to SMEs. I received a promotional email from Auditel, the cost management franchise, and visited their offices for an initial meeting. It appeared to be an ethical service which was transparent and instantly quantifiable for a prospective client.”
Since becoming an Auditel franchise owner, Francis has added considerable expertise gained from Auditel to his many years of business management. This has enabled him to identify potential areas where significant savings can be made and he has achieved them for organisations operating across a broad range of sectors. Francis added: “The quality of training and the ongoing support is excellent. Although you are running an independent business and in charge of your own destiny, the support from the network and from head office is central to this support structure. Working from home adds to the attraction.”
The projects on which Francis has cut his teeth have not been large but have been numerous and the average saving achieved are very high. Most of these assignments have been for an electronics business with three sites, an accountant and a motor factor.
Francis said: “I see a wonderful opportunity in the Auditel service. I have brought in my nephew Aled to help me drive us forward and provide longevity. My plan for the future is to build a substantial and sustainable business model, which delivers not only financial success but also, suits my lifestyle expectations.”
