An experienced clothing designer has launched a The ZipYard franchise and now provides garment alterations and repairs services.

Jane Nketiah, who has worked as a clothing designer for 20 years, launched her The ZipYard franchise along with her husband, Kingsley.

“I’m so excited and I think local people will love the centre and services we offer,” Mrs Nketiah said. “No appointments are necessary and we’ve got private fitting rooms so we can do any measuring right here. Most people don’t have the time or skills to repair or alter their own clothes and so many good garments are going to waste just hanging in the wardrobe. Now they can bring these in and we’ll make them fit perfectly.”

Each The ZipYard franchise offers a wide range of alteration and tailoring services, all done on site by trained professionals in a clean, purpose-built environment. From dress restyling and taking in/letting out, to bridal-wear fitting and formal wear alterations. Franchise owners also offer a one-hour express service for zips, hems and minor repairs.
