Canadian cosmetics retailer FACES has announced plans to expand its franchise to the USA, with the aim of 'changing the face' of retail cosmetics in America. The brand recently opened a franchise location in Arlington, Texas and expects to open 65 franchise locations by July 2008, with 20 open by next summer.

'Going public provided funding that allowed us to establish our US headquarters and build our first corporate prototype training store in Dallas' premiere mall, NorthPark Center,' says Deno Scoular, who has been appointed to spearhead the US franchise development team. 'Aside from its prestige product offerings, FACES takes a customised and personalised approach to customer service. For example, we offer customers the ability to customise shade combinations in order to meet their personal preferences. We believe that this tailored approach to makeup and skin care is unlike anything that American consumers have experienced before in a retail cosmetic store.

'Our products and services are in high demand in a booming market segment. Combining the sale of cosmetics, skin care, and anti-aging products with spa services, such as facials, waxings, manicures and pedicures all under one roof in a retail store setting is unique. FACES is a truly beautiful franchise opportunity.'

FACES offers its own line of branded personalised products and spa services in a private retail setting. Established in 1974 in Ontario, Canada, the company now operates 54 locations throughout Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ireland and the US and recently went public in the United Kingdom.

FACES is seeking qualified franchise candidates in the US with previous retail and franchise experience, with a preference for individuals with the capability of opening multiple units in order to meet its aggressive growth projections.
