FDS is set to celebrate 30 years of helping franchisors replicate their success at both national and international franchise levels in 2011. During the 30 years FDS has helped 1,000 business owners franchise their concept and over 10,000 people to own and operate a franchise of their choice.
In order to celebrate its 30th anniversary, FDS is currently providing free seminars for owners of successful businesses that are considering expansion by franchising. At these half day seminars that take place at the company's head office in Norwich, as well as at its Manchester and Reigate offices, delegates will be walked through all of the stages that need to be addressed in creating a genuine business format franchise. They will also learn of the different ways in which any business can be franchised.
Describing how FDS helps delegates at these seminars Professor Roy Seaman CFE, Managing Director and founder of FDS, said: "The main question that we always ask prospective franchisors, 'is their business capable of replication?'. Then we need to ensure that it meets the basic criteria of having good profit margins, a business that is teachable to others and that there is a genuine demand either nationwide or worldwide. Then we have to get down to the nitty gritty!"
