USA-based casual footwear retail franchise Flip Flop Shops is continuing its nationwide expansion with the opening of a new franchised store in Panama City Beach in the USA state of Florida. The new Panama City Beach location is owned and operated by franchise owner Philip Breeze, who is already planning to open his second store in Destin next summer, while another franchise owner is planning to open a location in Tallahassee this autumn.

Philip Breeze said: "Flip flops have evolved into a premium lifestyle necessity, and Flip Flop Shops was created to fill the void in the retail industry. I wanted to give my local community a place to turn to when in need of quality flip flops. So often, fall comes around and a number of shops limit their flip flops selection to a few styles. As an avid year-round flip flop wearer, I decided to open my own shop to offer local consumers an opportunity to indulge in all the hottest brands and latest styles at their leisure."

In addition to expanding throughout North America, Flip Flop Shops is also planning to continue its expansion across the Caribbean and is aiming to open 236 new stores in total by 2013. At the moment the company currently has 17 shops operating and a further 50 under development. Flip Flop Shops is specifically targeting the regions of SoCal, Atlanta, New York, South Florida and the Pacific Northwest.
