As well as a rise in female landlords, the investment property franchise has noticed women are at the forefront of its franchise network.

'Half our franchise partners are women, and we're finding in a lot of cases that when a couple come on board together, it's often the women who is in the driving seat,' says Steve Bolton one of Platinum Property's founding partners.

Sally, who has worked for the NHS for 30 years and is a Platinum Property Partner franchisee, adds: 'I think that women naturally possess many of the skills, common sense and the emotional intelligence required to successfully work in property investing. I also know from my health service career that a person needs to have good, secure, comfortable accommodation to enable them to have a healthy and successful life. I am completely comfortable with the match between property investing and management and my professional career ambitions and the desire to contribute positively to my community that also secures a future for me and my family.'
