Two work colleges have gone into business together by purchasing an Auditel franchise.

Simon Grant and Ian Webb both left their jobs at Scottish and Newcastle Breweries at the same time and decided to start their own cost and purchase management business together.

Commenting on why they decided to join the Auditel network, Grant said: “I chose Auditel for a number of reasons. All my conversations and dealings with them were very professional, consistent and clear. I didn’t feel at any time that I was being pressurised into buying a franchise. The support being offered before and throughout the process was impressive.”

Webb added: “I was also impressed with the people we met and the fact that they had won The bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year 2012 Award for Outstanding Franchisee Support.”

Asked about the training, Grant said: “Very well planned and delivered. Auditel’s head office team were there to help you build your business from the ground up. It was also very useful to meet existing affiliates and learn from their experiences – great week all round.”

Edward Brewer, Franchise Development Director at Auditel, added: “As a matter of fact, in the same intake another partnership was being formed. Graeme Johnson will be joining Steve Newton, an Auditel Cost Management Consultant since 2003. Graeme had worked with the David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Farnham and Steve had spent 10 years with the BT Group before hoining Auditel.

“Most of our franchise owners start as sole traders but as business grows, we find that in addition to partnership arrangements or joint ventures with fellow franchise ownres, relatives are invited to join a family business. Some are also taking on staff and working from rented office space. Some are employing up to five or six people. Certainly there is an enormous opportunity to expand your franchise and build a really thriving business. Auditel affiliates renew their franchises after five, 10 and now 15 years due to consistently achieving their financial goals.

“There are still a few of our free Discovery Seminars available this year and we look forward to meeting any management professional who is seeking an outstanding business option.”
