The Handy Do Professional Handyman Service was conceived and developed by Robert Heals, who identified a gap in the market while involved in a business that frequently needed the type of services that Handy Do now offers.
During this time he struggled to find a company that could provide him with a reliable, professional and value for money service. Robert says: 'What I would have given then, for a service such as Handy Do.'
In 2003, he founded Handy Do, which addresses this market need by providing handyman services, such as plumbing and electrical, on a professional and highly profitable basis, while providing a good value and honest service for customers.
As a turnkey franchise, the package includes a total system of brand, know-how, comprehensive professional training, methodology and support. It has been compiled with the assistance of British Franchise Association affiliated advisors including franchise consultant Gordon Patterson of Franchise Development Services Southern, who Robert says has provided an invaluable level of professionalism and support in taking the Handy Do concept forward.
Franchisees start as van-based owner operators, gaining experience before expanding their business to multi-van management operations.
Robert is now looking for like-minded entrepreneurs to help him expand Handy Do nationally benefiting from his knowledge and many years of experience of the market and the business.
