The Sunday Telegraph said: 'Pitman Training is one of only nine executive education, training and development organisations to feature in the list of 500 Business Superbrands and one of only a handful of franchises to appear. A Business Superbrand is one, which has established, the finest reputation in its field and offers customers significant emotional or tangible advantages over its competitors.

Paul Turner who is an experienced training and development manager will run the new training centre. Paul said: 'It is inspiring to be part of a company with such an amazing heritage and to be opening the 100th Pitman Training centre is a real privilege. I aim to make high quality and affordable training available to both corporate clients and individual learners in Shropshire.'

Claire Lister, Pitman Training Group Managing Director, said: 'I am absolutely delighted with the company's new position in the Business Superbrands list and to have moved up 102 places at the time of opening the 100th training centre is a happy coincidence. The new position on the Superbrands list is a testament to all Pitman Training Group franchisees and their staff.'

Pitman Training began with one shorthand school in 1839 and was founded by Sir Isaac Pitman. Since then the company has developed a large nationwide independent network and offers over 125 courses geared towards helping people fulfil their career aspirations.
