With over 350 franchisees throughout Europe, Husse is a leading home delivery cat and dog food business with a 17-year track record. Its UK operation was launched in October 2004 to cater for growing demand.
'The market for high quality pet foods is growing,' states Nick Smith, who is leading the UK operation. 'This, combined with free home delivery, has generated a lot of interest and we've been delighted by the feedback we've had since starting up in October, both from the animals that have sampled it and their owners.'
Matthew Human, the latest Husse franchisee, already reports a high level of interest from local pet owners eager to sample the products. Having previously run his own telecoms business, he was attracted to the proven repeat business model, sustainable margins, and the company's success across Europe.
Husse is searching for more franchisees to build on its success in the UK. 'We're interested in building a profitable long-term business, not just in selling franchises, so the starting price is very competitive - between £3,000 and £5,000. With margins at around 40 per cent, very attractive returns can be made. Franchisees receive an exclusive territory, marketing and sales support, ongoing lead generation and a full training programme.'
