Commercial cleaning company Jani-King UK has announced the acquisition of a new pan-European Master Franchise agreement with parent company Jani-King International. The agreement covers the largest geographic territory ever put into the control of one company by the contract cleaning franchisor. The agreement will see the launch of the Jani-King brand in 23 new countries in Europe within the next decade.

Signing the agreement with Jani-King International President Jerry Crawford in Texas, USA Ian Thomas, founder of Jani-King UK stated: 'Having proved in the last 16 years that we can develop and run highly successful and profitable territories in the competitive UK and Spanish markets, and more recently in Ireland, I am delighted to be given this exciting opportunity. The development of the brand in Europe will allow our current customers to maximise their contractual value - we are already being approached by customers for a pan-European service, particularly in the retail sector.'

Commenting on the Agreement, President Jerry Crawford, said: 'We have never before entrusted such a large territory into the hands of one group, but we have absolute faith that Ian Thomas and his team will succeed. They are the only Master Franchisors we have ever appointed that have made improvements to the highly successful Jani-King model many of which we have even adopted in the US, such as the customer information intranet. It is critical we develop Europe to keep pace with our growth on a worldwide basis and I have every confidence they will do a great job.

As part of the international growth programme, Jani-King is also consolidating strategic partnerships on a global basis, including relationships with industry bodies. The company's partner of choice in this area is the International Franchise Association (IFA), of which Jani-King is a fully accredited member.

Commenting on the partnership with the IFA, Ian Thomas said: 'Jani-King is particularly committed to supporting education in franchising which we regard as vital for the success of the franchising industry, and the IFA has a strong track record in this area. We are looking forward to rolling out key IFA programmes in Europe as a direct result of this enhanced partnership.'
