Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, a US-based company, has signed an additional development agreement with its Master Franchise for Japan.

Kreme Doughnut Japan Co. Ltd has signed a new agreement that will see the development of a further 19 locations over the next five years, which will be located in the Kyushu and Chugoku regions of Japan.

Jeff Welch, Krispy Kreme President, International, said: “This expanded commitment by our Japanese franchise partners speaks to the confidence we all have in the success of this relationship. We are very excited about the possibilities this region of the world holds for Krispy Kreme.”

Shinichi Uetadani, CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnut Japan Co. Ltd, added: “We believe in the Krispy Kreme brand and look forward to sharing the experience with more of the Japanese people. Being part of Krispy Kreme’s international growth is very exciting for us and we are happy to represent the company in Japan.”
