When Harrison left the banking industry after 21 years, he needed a total change. Harrison, as a father of two young children, decided that he wanted to play a real part in their childhood. He also wanted the opportunity to start and grow his own business, where he would benefit from his own hard work.

“I realised that I would never achieve the lifestyle I wanted for my family, whilst working for someone else,” he explained. Having looked at many options for starting a business he quickly decided that investing in a franchised business was the easiest and safest option.

“The lawn care industry was totally different from my past career, but having heard of the developments in the US lawn industry, I started to investigate the options open to me in the UK. “The Lawnscience business opportunity ticked all the boxes, it allowed me to start and develop my own business at a pace I was happy with. I took the plunge and launched the Lawnscience business in North Worcestershire,” said Harrison.

Today, he is running a multi-van Lawnscience business and is planning to grow his business further: “I really enjoy my work these days, when you’re building your own business it’s just not the same as working for someone else. I can also make more time for the important things in life, like my children. I’m planning to start another lawn technician during 2016 and am looking to expand to five to six vans in the next few years. Life is totally different now thanks to Lawnscience.”
