According to official figures, there are now well over 11 million dog or cat owners in the UK and that number is increasing each year! So what happens when the owners of these pets need to take a holiday? Will the pets receive proper attention? Will they be correctly fed and exercised? And what happens if they become ill?

Due to launch shortly, a brand new franchise called Pet Carers has been created to provide positive answers to all these worrying questions. Pet Carers offers high quality boarding, dog-walking, feeding and other pet-related services - giving their owners maximum peace of mind while they are away!

Based on a well-proven business which has operated successfully in the Cheltenham area for over three years, the Pet Carers concept has already proved far more popular than its founders Caroline Kelly and Sue Pitcher had ever expected. Franchisees will benefit greatly as a result of experience gained from this 'pilot' operation and will be required to adhere closely to the comprehensive business model which has been painstakingly developed.

Franchisees are to be allocated exclusive territories based upon main towns and, at start-up, the business can be run by only one person - or ideally a couple. It requires only a modest investment and no premises other than a home-based office. Most importantly of all perhaps, Pet Carers Franchisees must enjoy working with pets (and their owners!) and be reasonably fit in order to cope with the demanding - but very enjoyable - Pet Carers lifestyle.
