Marsden Caterers sought advice on the sale from John Farnsworth and David Crump of Smith Cooper Corporate Finance, a division of Smith Cooper an advisory firm. Raja says: 'My family have been in the fast food industry for 30 years and I already operate 13 KFC franchises in the Midlands. By purchasing this KFC franchise from Marsden Caterers I have doubled the number of franchises in my operation in one stroke and at the same time have extended the geographical spread of my business. I now have a business with a combined turnover of more than £40 million and look forward to developing the business further with the existing management team in place.'
