The Jacksons latest venture, which follows a re-sale opportunity from Solihull franchisee Alistair Fitton, is set to make it one on the largest Merry Maids franchise operation in the UK as they already own a portfolio of franchises in Dudley, Birmingham, Southampton and Wolverhampton.
Merry Maids is an arm of national franchisor ServiceMaster Ltd. Established in the UK in 1959, ServiceMaster operates three other franchise brands alongside Merry Maids including TruGreen, Furniture Medic and ServiceMaster Clean, which all specialise in domestic cleaning services.
The brand recently posted turnover of £55m for 2013 has franchise packages available for its Merry Maids network across the UK which start at an intial fee of £16,560 + VAT.
Tom Jackson discussed the move: “It is an exciting and challenging time for the business. The objective 10 years ago was to offer a friendly, quality service with a regular team servicing people’s homes. That is still our aim and we work hard to achieve it.”
