It was also a chance to reflect on 21 years’ of fun-filled musical entertainment and learning that have seen more than 200,000 pre-school children and their families visit Monkey Music classes across the UK.

Since its foundation by Angie Coates in 1993 (Angie was one of the very first female franchisors in the UK), Monkey Music has reported year-on-year growth every single year. However, more impressive still is the fact that, over the last five years, the ‘average sales income per franchisee’ has increased by nearly 50 per cent.

This last term has been no exception, with average sales per franchise growing by a further 15 per cent, promising yet another record year ahead.

In addition, the total number of customers attending weekly classes recently passed the 11,000 milestone with growth being experienced throughout the UK – record breakers coming from as far afield as Devon, Wales and London.

The Annual Conference also gave Monkey Music the chance to recognize some conspicuous high achievers from within its franchise family and nine franchisees were awarded for their impressive business performances.

In June 2014 Monkey Music’s own iconic pink Monkey will celebrate his birthday by attending over one thousand birthday parties across the UK and by organising special birthday activities and competitions for his little monkey friends. These events will also be used to support local charities and to help towards a £21,000 fundraising target for Monkey Music’s National charity partner, music therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins.

Monkey Music families will also be able to enter a free prize draw to win a free term of Monkey Music classes in their local area, and one of 21 prizes donated by 21 of Monkey Music’s national partners including a short family break from Smith & Family, an iPad and much more!

In addition, some new families who join Monkey Music for the first time during the party period will be offered a special half price birthday membership discounts.

Angie Coates, Founder and Managing Director of Monkey Music, said:

“It’s fantastic to be able to kick off our 21st Anniversary celebrations with such a great year behind us. Across the UK, Monkey Music is thriving and I’m so proud of what we have all achieved together. Thank you to all my team and to our wonderful family of franchisees, without whom none of this would be possible! Happy birthday Monkey Music and here’s to the next 21 years!”
