Aimed at women aged 40 plus, Motorcise Healthy Living Centres are designed for people who find traditional clubs intimidating and feature the world's first motorised exercise machines enabling women with arthritis or back problems to exercise comfortably.

Maria was inspired to become a franchisee following her own mother's illness. She explains: 'I lost my mother very suddenly and in not very nice circumstances nearly two years ago, it was her death that gave me the inspiration for the centre. I felt she had had the short end of the straw - older women don't necessarily have facilities available to them to keep them mobile and control their weight. Her loss prompted me to do a lot of research about the needs of mature or elderly women and what could be done to help them - leading me to Motorcise.'
