The new franchise owner of Papa John’s Norwich has increased the store’s turnover by 75 per cent compared with the same month for the previous year’s trading.
Nash Joumun, who bought his Papa John’s Norwich franchise in May 2012, currently employs 15 staff and aims to open an additional outlet in Ipswich by the end of the year.
Joumun said: “I was first introduced to Papa John’s by my friend and now business partner, Manzoor Hussain. Following some research I found Papa John’s was a popular and rapidly growing brand. I also liked the business model, which offers the opportunity to expand through setting up multiple outlets. However, it was the taste test, which really helped me make a final decision. Papa John’s uses only the finest, fresh ingredients and so the product is easily the best in the market place.
“We were lucky enough to be able to take over an established store in the centre of Norwich. We re-introduced Papa John’s tried and tested methods, which improved the efficiency of the whole store and focused on marketing through leafleting and sponsorship arrangements with the University of East Anglia. Already we have seen huge increases in turnover and our profits will be invested in opening further stores in the future.”
Founded in the USA, Papa John’s is a pizza delivery franchise that aims to use the highest quality ingredients and 100 per cent fresh dough to create its pizzas. The company currently has 88 UK franchise owners operating 189 outlets and is on target to reach a goal of over 200 by the end of the year.
