Wendy's long-term aim is to operate five outlets across Lancashire. Before becoming a franchisee Wendy was a Relationships Manager at Barclays Bank and had catering experience, through the completion of catering college and working in a small sandwich shop.

'As I was keen on outside catering as well as a retail cafe, I did my research and found that O'Briens had all the right ingredients for me. Catering is now a huge part of my business in Preston and I look forward to building this in Blackpool in tandem with the retail business at Houndshill, which is simply quite a superb location.

'Thankfully my previous role as a relationships manager meant your focus was always on being upbeat. These skills have transferred nicely to my O'Briens business, and my staff. I have been rewarded with a lot of regular customers and I believe staff who are happy in their roles. I'm sure this is something customers will also find in Blackpool.'
