Students from Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) have had a once in a lifetime experience performing on a West End stage.

The students at the PQA Aylesbury school performed American Dreams at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London to an audience of several hundred. Hosted by actress Pauline Quirke, who is best known for her roles in Birds of a Feather and Emmerdale, the show saw 83 children aged from six to 16 showcasing the singing, dancing and acting skills they learnt during their time at the academy.

Kym Eden, PQA Aylesbury franchise owner, said: “American Dreams was an amazing experience for our students.

“Performing on a West End stage is considered the pinnacle of achievement for any performer and to offer the opportunity to the children was fantastic.

“This event was the culmination of many months’ hard work from students and it really was a once in a lifetime experience that I’m sure they will remember for many years to come.”
