Linguaphone Group's Pingu's English is set to expand into Romania and the Czech Republic through new Master Franchise agreements.

The pre-school English language programme has signed a Master Franchise deal for Romania with Editura Sigma, a publishing house in Romania. Led by Boris Singer, Director of Editura Sigma, the company plans to broaden their educational profile in the market through the distribution of Pingu's English into kindergartens and retail channels throughout Romania.

As well as this Linguaphone Group has entered into a Master Franchise agreement with entrepreneur Alice Kourkzi of Language Academy Sro. Through this agreement Kourkzi will develop Pingu's English across the Czech Republic and she plans to launch her first location in Prague this summer.

Linguaphone Group's Chief Operations Officer Derek Price said: "Editura Sigma and Language Academy Sro are an esteemed addition to the growing success of Pingu's English worldwide. We are delighted to welcome these new European partners to the Group and look forward to working with them to bring Pingu's English to children across Romania and the Czech Republic in the months ahead."
