Employment training provider, Pitman Training Group, celebrates its 175th anniversary and its 20th year as a growing franchise network.
Pitman Training Group franchise owner Ade Abassm, who owns and operates the Milton Keynes territory, explained why the company heritage was key in her decision to join the network.
“When I was looking for a franchise opportunity I did a lot of research around brands with history. History and credibility take a lot of the fear away when looking at a franchise opportunity as a lot of the groundwork has already been done thanks to a strong brand awareness.
"I was looking for an established brand that was recognised, in an office-based franchise. I was also keen to find a franchise with a solid tested support structure at head office – working with systems that have proved to be successful for the franchisor. Alongside this it was important for me to also find a company that allows a good level of independence, so franchise owners are really in control of their own businesses.
“Having been in the business for just over six months, it's been challenging learning the dynamics of the business and getting to grips with the huge range of courses on offer but this has been made so much easier thanks to the support of the Pitman Training staff at head office. The support from the Franchise Development Manager, the marketing team and the customer services team has been invaluable at this early stage.”
