Superbrands commissions’ independent research and their annual league tables are based on the opinions of marketing experts, business professionals and thousands of British consumers. Their definition of a superbrand is as follows: “A Superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which customers want and recognise.”

Pitman Training, who were once described by Winston Churchill as “without equal in the whole world”, share the bill with Apple, British Airways and Google, having been listed in the Business Superbrands list, which showcases the UK’s strongest B2B brands.

Claire Lister, MD of Pitman Training said: “We take great pride in being able to carry on Sir Isaac Pitman’s work and vision. The brand has great heritage and the Pitman name is still highly regarded and credibly recognised by employers on any CV. We are extremely proud of our offering, and the fact that we have continued to progress and evolve as a trusted and reputable business dedicated to helping people improve their lives, is the exact reason I believe Pitman to be the pioneers and leaders in our field.”

She added: “We’re delighted to have been recognised in the Superbrands list once again, as the business goes from strength to strength. 2013 was a great year for us following 13 new franchise partners across the UK and also internationally, including Australia and Libya. We are really excited and dedicated in our mission to continue helping more and more people get the careers they really want and deserve, and support them in career progression”.
