During their time as franchisees of Prontaprint Durham, Giles and Nancy Radford have put many of their staff through extensive training in a continual effort to improve both team spirit and the client's experience. As well as winning awards, Prontaprint Durham's 'can do' attitude has helped to establish long-standing relationships with clients and employees, including one member of staff who has served over 30 years at the centre.

Commenting on their achievement, Nancy says: 'After noticing our focus on staff development, we were told to apply for the Investors in People Award by a business adviser. The high standards that we already had in place meant that we were able to apply for early assessment and go straight into phase two of evaluation where we were visited by assessors who interviewed our team members and analysed our systems and codes of employment.

'Though we are delighted to win the award and see our efforts recognised, staff training is still top of our agenda and we will continue to invest in those at the forefront of our business so that we can provide an even greater service to our clients.'

The team currently has three members achieving NVQs with the British Print Industries Federation.
