The company has operated a strategy of carefully measured growth; selecting just eight to 10 applicants to join the network each year. Each new franchise owner then receives dedicated business support from the head office team throughout their crucial first 12 to 18 months.

The strategy is proving successful: already Right at Home’s most successful franchise owner is turning over almost £1.4m and 60 per cent of offices trading more than 12 months are turning over £500,000 a year; with 100 per cent exceeding an annualised £250,000. For those offices turning over £500,000 or above, most have profits before tax and owners draw averaging 15 per cent of revenue.
In 2014 the company was named the bfa Emerging Franchisor of the Year and awarded Five Star Franchise status from independent specialists Smith and Henderson on the back of record-breaking levels of franchise owner satisfaction.

Managing Director Ken Deary, himself a former bfa Franchisee of the Year, said: “Our recruitment strategy emphasises quality over quantity. We only award franchises to candidates who have shown that they share our values for delivering high quality, personalised care and will excel at working within our proven business model.

“They don’t need sector experience or to have run their own business before, as our training and support is comprehensive and ensures they develop the skills and understanding they need. What we do insist on is a non-compromising attitude towards quality and a strong empathy when addressing their clients’ needs.”

Right at Home UK is part of a highly successful global brand, which has been trading over 15 years and now has more than 400 offices now trading across five continents. Its 30th UK office was opened in March 2015 by Bob Thornton in Camberley, Ascot and Woking and three more offices are due to open by summer 2015.
