The first of five Quiznos restaurants to open in India this year is due to be launched in May.
These five restaurants are set to be the first of 40 locations to be opened as part of a Master Franchise agreement between Quiznos and Arjun Valluri, an experienced franchise owner who has brought a variety of restaurants to India. The agreement is for Southern India and incorporates the regions of Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai and Hyderabad.
The Quiznos menu in India will feature the restaurant’s signature toasted sandwiches and flatbreads, as well as salads, sides and desserts. The menu will also include some local customisation, such as new sauces and dressings that reflect the flavours of traditional India cuisine, Indian grains incorporated into the bread, and a broader range of vegetarian options.
Valluri said: “There is a strong customer preference towards hot food in India, and Quiznos toasted sandwiches and unmatched quality made the brand a clear and compelling fit for this market. Quiznos is a well-known and respected brand and we have already received phenomenal response from individuals who want to own a Quiznos location in India. This speaks to the strength and success of the brand, and I am excited to help establish the foundation and continuation for Quiznos success in India.”
Quiznos expansion into India is part of the company’s plans to grow its international presence to more than 40 countries and territories. It is targeting locations in Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
