Razzamataz Theatre Schools franchise owners will benefit from extra marketing opportunities provided by the launch of the franchise’s Razz Mag, a new magazine for all prospective and current Razzamataz students.
Denise Hutton-Gosney, founder and Managing Director of Razzamataz, said: “What I want to achieve for the business is to gain as many amazing opportunities for our Principals and students alike. Razz Mag is just another way for us to help support our franchise businesses and through our research and student feedback, we have found that it is really important to give students as much opportunity as possible to really get involved.
“I’m passionate that the performing arts can equip young people with skills for life and the confidence they are going to need to carry through with them whatever career they end up choosing, not necessarily performing arts. Via our business franchise network, we are looking not only to discover a show business star or two but also encourage the next generation of business entrepreneurs. Who knows, perhaps reading about career opportunities at Razzamataz will inspire young people to have a go at creating their own business.”
The launch issue features an exclusive interview with Spelbound, the acrobatic gymnasts who won Britain’s Got Talent in April 2010 in front of a watching audience of 15 million, as well as articles and advice on all aspects of performing arts.
Hutton-Gosney added: “We are hoping to further inspire students through Razz Mag and give them a better understanding of what it takes to be a professional in this industry. It will give our students a chance to learn more about the professional world of the performing arts industry from the exceptionally talented teachers and Principals within the Razzamataz network. We have some amazing talent and a wealth of experience that we can share with the students and the magazine will let us reach children across all of the UK Razz schools.”
A letters page will feature in the magazine that gives students a chance to ask questions about the performing arts industry and anything they ever wanted to know about Razzamataz. Many of the current Razzamataz Principals have appeared in West End theatre productions, films and TV shows so there is a wealth of knowledge to tap into. Hutton-Gosney added: “The Principal of our Rickmansworth branch is currently starring in Mamma Mia! and others have worked on TV shows such as The Voice, so this letters page is a fantastic way for our students to reach out to these professionals and ask questions about the industry.”
Other articles in the magazine include an Auditions Page for professional and amateur castings for young people and children to attend and profiles of the success of individual Razzamataz students who have gone on to perform in professional productions.
