USA family casual dining restaurant brand Ruby Tuesday has named its 2006 International Franchisee of the Year as Chile Master Franchisees Carlos and Rolando Musiet. The announcement was made at the company's annual meeting and awards ceremony in September, which was held at its world headquarters.

"This event is an opportunity to bring together the people who are standard bearers for our brand in the four corners of the world," says Ruby Tuesday's President of Franchise Development Mark Ingram. "They exchange ideas, listen and learn - in significant detail - about our latest innovations, processes, and management tools, and go home to run even more successful Ruby Tuesday's in their respective countries and territories. They, and we, also have a lot of fun."

The Chilean Master Franchisees won the award for 'very strong same-restaurant sales increases year over year since the first one opened there in early 1999', and have nine restaurants operating with two more scheduled in the next 12 months. Also receiving plaudits at the ceremony were the Master Franchisee for Iceland, who recorded the greatest same-restaurant sales increase, and the Hawaii Master Franchisee for the highest individual restaurant sales.

The company is established in 850 locations worldwide, in 13 countries.
