Secrets to business success to be revealed at the Growing Your Own Business Conference

Goldmine of commercial expertise and insights from successful entrepreneurs to be shared at Olympia London on 1 & 2 February

The Growing Your Own Business Conference is the perfect place for existing and aspiring business owners to gather the knowledge and information to build a successful venture. Free to attend, the conference is co-located with The British & International Franchise Exhibition, London’s only franchise event to be held in partnership with the British Franchise Association (bfa).

The Growing Your Own Business Conference features keynote presentations from two highly successful entrepreneurs. As the founder of a company which has achieved remarkable growth and success, Jamie Bolding is the keynote speaker on Friday 1 February.

Jamie launched his business, Jungle Creations, in 2014 at the age of just 23 and is now CEO of the award-winning media company with 140 employees across London, New York, LA and Toronto. In his presentation, The challenges of rapid growth and how to overcome them, Jamie will provide insights into what it takes to build a successful business. He comments:

“I look forward to helping my audience recognise what needs to be done to grow a business quickly and sharing examples from my own journey.”

The conference’s other keynote speaker, Siddhi Mehta, also launched her business, Rhythm108, in 2014. The company’s tasty yet wholesome hand-crafted treats are now stocked in over 3,000 locations, including Sainsbury’s, WH Smith and Planet Organic.

In her keynote presentation on Saturday 2 February, entitled Building a brand for a new generation of consumers, Siddhi will share a candid view of her journey to success and will deliver well-informed tips for growing a business in today’s marketplace. Siddhi comments:

“How businesses reach and engage with consumers has changed a lot in recent years and I am delighted to share what I have learned – what works and what doesn’t – with my audience.”

The inspiring and motivational keynote presentations form part of a wider programme of workshops from experts in business growth.

For anyone wanting to strike a better work-life balance but also grow their business, Jon Asquith and James Vincent of ActionCOACH will educate on how to get more from a team and increase profits, in their presentations: Because being in business should give you more life!

Business planning can be a daunting task, but it’s crucial, so Kevin Noble of Franchise Finance will explain why it’s important and how best to prepare – and then use  – a business plan.

Raising finance is often one of the early hurdles that entrepreneurs face when setting up or growing their business, and Haico van der Steen of Simple Crowdfunding will reveal the ins and outs of crowdfunding as a means to raise business capital, in his presentation on Friday 1 February.

Also presenting on the Friday is The Sales Rainmaker, Jeremy Jacobs, who will guide his audience on how to avoid three common sales mistakes.

The Growing Your Own Business Hub offers visitors the chance to approach business growth experts on a one-to-one basis to gather tailored advice, and encourages networking with other aspiring entrepreneurs.

The British & International Franchise Exhibition showcases global and national brands who have franchise business opportunities on offer. Exhibitors include Anytime Fitness, Auditel, Chemex, Kare Plus and Fun Fest Holiday Club.

The extensive exhibition incorporates a wide variety of free seminars, workshops and Q&A sessions, and ample opportunity to access face-to-face expert advice from franchising specialists.

Helen McCulloch, portfolio sales manager for The Franchise Exhibitions, says of the Growing Your Own Business feature of the event: “We’re delighted to welcome enterprising individuals who already run or are hoping to launch a business to this bespoke conference. It is relevant and valuable to anyone who wishes to grow their venture and is sure to spark inspiration and positive action.”
