Sharkey's offers children a hair cut experience with fun distractions including a mini arcade filled with toys and games to play with while they wait for their hair appointment and the opportunity to watch DVDs, sport or play computer games while the stylists cut their hair. Even the traditional hairdressing chairs have been replaced with a mini Harley Davidson motorcycle to a Barbie car or mini Mercedes. It also offers activities for both adults and children such as creatability art workshops, karaoke nights, birthday parties and first hair cut mementos.
CEO of Sharkey's Cuts for Kids Scott Sharkey says: 'My vision is that anyone that becomes a Sharkey's customer enters an enduring relationship with the company. I advise franchisees to get to know their customers as if they are family. The company and franchisees are more successful because relationship selling inevitably leads to high productivity and high profitability. In a relationship- driven company, it's a lot more fun to go to work in the morning.'
Sharkey's has plans to continue its international expansion with developments in the following locations including: Rennes and Saint Malo, France; Gothenburg, Sweden; Dubai, UAE; Tel Aviv in Israel and Milton, Calgary, Oakville and Montreal in Canada.
