Stenders, a Latvia-based beauty cosmetic retail franchise, has been ranked 13th in the annual Reputation Top listing. Organised by PR company Nord Porter Novelli and Latvian newspaper Diena, Stenders has moved from 25th place in 2008 to 13th this year and has been placed alongside other large international companies.

The companies listed in Reputation Top undergo assessment by a team of 58 experts, which includes heads of companies, lecturers of higher education establishments and the Finance Minister of Latvia, to determine where they rank. Companies in the listing are also elected in polls conducted among 400 companies and 1000 residents of Latvia.

In the Reputation Top sectors Stenders was ranked first place in the chemistry sector and was rated the 7th greenest company. Experts assessing the companies said: 'The Stenders' products have won popularity not just in Latvia but also outside its borders and have gained the highest rating from experts in the category Products and Services. This year entrepreneurs gave the highest rating to the success of Stenders, singling out their preference for an interesting and innovative business idea and the company's ability to successfully and strategically manage the business under difficult economic circumstances. Stenders has attracted high evaluation due to the quality of its products and expansion of exports.'
